Case Study: John Frederic Lippis
Rebuilding the visual identity of a piano academy into a refined, premium and coherent brand system.
Brand foundation
Long-term coherence
The context
John Frederic Lippis had built a strong reputation as a piano teacher, but the academy’s visual identity no longer reflected the quality of the experience. The brand felt dated, overly complex and difficult to use consistently across digital, print and communication materials.
The shift
As the academy’s reputation grew, its visual identity needed to move beyond an outdated logo and become a clearer expression of quality, elegance and musical discipline. The objective was to create a foundation capable of supporting the brand across every touchpoint.
The previous identity contained musical references, but the overall system felt heavy, dated and difficult to use consistently. It did not fully reflect the level of teaching or the refinement of the academy.
The work was not to modernize the logo only, but to rebuild the academy’s visual direction from the ground up with a stronger symbol, refined typography and a more coherent brand presence.

The Outcome
The goal was not simply to replace an old logo, but to create a visual foundation that could elevate the academy’s perception. The new identity gave the brand more elegance, stronger recognition and a clearer system for future communication.
The academy moved away from a dated local-school image toward a refined identity aligned with the quality of the teaching.
The monogram, typography and piano-inspired details created a more memorable and distinctive brand presence.
The identity became easier to apply across digital, print and communication materials without losing coherence.
